10/7/25 - 10/12/25


  • Drafted the first two "chapters" of the story (end goal is around 16-24, depends on how long or short future ones end up)
  • Finished the first NPC model (old man) - geometry/animations (maybe)/textures all done
  • Made the player character taller, from now on the old man will be used as scale reference for any new models while modelling
  • Started implementing weapons as objects as the player will hold several due to the removal of classes, and making those objects interact with the Weapon Wheel

You heard it here first, folks! The plot of Ever Deeper is officially in the works! In the coming weeks, I plan to also make a proper design document that will tie everything together and curb my indecisiveness once and for all, so development will become more of a checklist of small things to work through rather than a scatterbrained uphill battle. 

Also, 3D models! Annoying as they can be to make, it turns out they are infinitely more fun and efficient to work with in the long run than drawing billboard sprites for everything. Some things like item pickups and weapon POVs are still sprites (for now... >:D ) but when it comes to characters... yeah, I can't imagine doing anywhere near as many as I want to while still drawing all the animations by mouse.


I don't want to get ahead of myself, so I say this with as much caution as one can possibly say it with, but I would love to get something semi-playable out for the Holidays/New Year's if I can (partly to get something out, but also so I can retrofit this page for it and make a new one for the full game :p ).
